I’ve moved on. If you’ve read my previous articles, you’d know
how messed up and unhappy I was. Though I have accomplished a few overwhelming
things in the last 2 months, I’m not euphoric or even close to being happy, I’m
just content with whatever I have. And you know what, being content is more
than enough. Over the past few months, I’ve grown stronger both intellectually
and emotionally. Also, I’ve learnt a lot of things. Let me enlighten you!
·
It’s all
about perspective! It’s about how you look at things and not how they really
are. If you don’t like something/someone, it’s probably because you don’t have
a good take on things/people. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder!
·
You’re never completely screwed up. Turn every disaster
into opportunity. Failure makes you stronger, it lets you grow.
·
If opportunity is taking too long to arrive at your
door, get your lazy ass to work and search for it.
·
Be proud of your achievements and not your
affiliations. Yeah, you can very well shove your IIT/IIM degree up your ass.
·
Listen to your dad. Don’t listen to your mum.
Emotions play a big role in mums’ decisions whereas dads think logically.
·
Only you can help yourself. People are so
self-obsessed that they will never pull you out of your shit. Obviously, who
would get their hands dirty?
·
My college people are extremely nice and
harmless creatures. No, I’m not making this thing up in order to compensate for
all the bad things I’ve said about them before. I really do like some of them! J
The
world is all a stage and people would kill to be at the top.
During my 12th grade, everybody kept telling me that that
would be the last time I’d ever work hard. Spoiler alert, kids – That’s the biggest
lie ever. Once you enter college, you’ll realise that a plethora of competition
is out there. And humongous amount of onus is entrusted on you. You have to
deal with it, there’s no turn-around in life!
You’ll come across people from different background and their
lifestyle is going to fascinate you. For now, I’m surrounded by ignorant people,
so ignorant that they think Metallica is a newly discovered element. They
baffle me. They know nothing about the world around them and it amuses me when
I think about how they’ve have lived for so long. Every day, I wake up and tell
myself that I’ve to learn something new. A new word, about a country,
little trivia or maybe how a silencer works. And they involve themselves in
petty talks! It’s amusing! I’m not saying I don’t involve myself in all these,
but it’s relatively less.
Educate your ignorant ass.
Folks, discuss ideas and
not people. You can get through your life being ignorant but I don’t call
that living, it’s merely surviving. And in today’s world, surviving is almost
like walking dead.
I’m thankful to a lot of things -
·
Internet (And my dad who pays the bill) – This
is the best source of knowledge. From a deadly drug called Botox to who is
Apeksha MK, you can search for anything! And you’re bound to get answers.
·
Quora – This is one hell of a website! Quora
made me realize that I’m NOTHING. There are plenty of geniuses out there with
extremely unique and awesome perspective. If you consider yourself an
intellect, visit this website, I bet you’ll feel useless and stupid.

People around me and some on the other side of
the computer – I’ve got some amazing people around me. About 5%. When I look at
them or even think about them, I immensely get inspired.
And the rest 95%, who are ignorant make me worship
those 5%!
My new phone – I bet everybody’s got a smart
phone these days. Make use of it! There is more to life than taking a picture
and sharing it on Facebook. There are plenty of applications for self
improvement.
Look at people around you. Look at people who’re better than you and learn from them. That’s what I do, I learn. Every day.
Look at people around you. Look at people who’re better than you and learn from them. That’s what I do, I learn. Every day.
Go to
places, get lost, observe people, talk to them, compare yourself with them,
observe things, imitate the ideas, create new ones, publicize it, read widely,
get curious, solve problems, tackle situations and grow. The ultimate goal is
to get better!
KNOWLEDGE
IS UBIQUITOS; DEVOUR IT TO THE UTMOST EXTENT!
The old old saying that Knowledge is power, is indeed very
true. Don’t die for marks. Die for ideas! Our system is so wrong that everybody
considers the topper to be a genius. Sure, he is hardworking, he might even be
very intelligent but there are people who get average marks but have colossal
intellectual power. Take their autographs; they are the future Gates and
Zuckerburgs!
And don't showcase your brain with other items in your house, use it.
That's all for this week's LifeHack. Stay tuned for more!
