MNC screwed me.

Hello, fellow readers! This article is about a soul-sucking, heart-wrenching, shitty gadget I bought 7 months ago! From the very second I purchased it, it has given me nothing but anxiety, depression and a high tendency to act cocky.

I bought it so that I could learn. I bought it so that I could take online tutorials, learn programming,  blog frequently,  try and build something useful, spend my time reading everything from Black holes to Natalie Portman, Cancer to Botox, Android to How-to-shoo-away-lizards etc., write more answers on Quora, watch mind-boggling documentaries and do everything nice one can think of.
But all I have actually done is cry, talk to the Customer Care, cry more, shout at my parents, get depressed, cry  some more, imagine my career going down the drain, mourn, get angry, feel helpless and cry some more!

Sorry, I forgot to mention the problem! The laptop gives me BLUE SCREEN OF DEATH every time I switch it on. I don’t want to reveal the name of the company even though I’m extremely pissed at their service and I’m left with no choice but to apprehend the case at Consumer Forum. I’ve spent more time talking to the Customer Care than I’ve spent talking to my parents my entire life!

The Customer Care people have made me reset and restore my PC to factory settings for more than 3 times and the SERVICE CENTER has reinstalled Windows 2 times. So basically, I’ve lost my data 5 times in 7 months. These people obviously don’t know the importance of data. Unfinished projects and programs! *SIGH*

With the problems increasing exponentially, I demanded for a replacement because I very well knew the problem wasn’t with the software but, with its significant other, the hardware! The customer care people had to escalate the problem to the higher authority who promised us to give a replacement if the problem recurred.

And even after a clean Windows Reinstallation, the problem obviously recurred. After 3 hours of futile and inane argument with the BPO folks, the manager, manager’s manager, the supposed head of the company comes and sugar coats it for us by saying we will not get you a replacement
.
And folks, this is how a multinational company screws a common man.
I mean, I could have just gone and thrown 50K rupees in their office’s fireplace to keep their socks warm!

Sorry, if this post is getting mundane. I’m so disappointed and brunt right now that I want to beat the shit out of each and every person of this company. I want to carve out intricate but atrocious designs over their body and brand them with “I SUCK”.
Okay, I sound like a sadist psychopath.

These kinds of incidents make you contemplate about Karma. What sin have I committed to deserve this? What gluttony? Is it because I pestered my parents too much and hurried the purchase? Or had I thrown somebody’s computer off the cliff in my previous life!
I’ve become so religious and superstitious that I pray for a minute and kiss the PC before switching it on.

*SIGH*

Yet again, I’ve proved myself fallible. Yet again I’ve been made a lubber!

I’m sure my parents wouldn’t buy me another laptop. Heck, I don’t even have the balls to ask them to buy me a new one. I’m already envisaging a Computer Engineer life without a computer.

Goodbye Coursera, Goodbye HackerEarth, Goodbye StackOverflow, Goodbye Programming, Goodbye Blogging. GOODBYE DREAMS! :’(
