Something Like Love.

I've been getting requests from a lot people to write an article on crushes. I'm no master at this, but I'll give it a try.

I'll be completely frank here, even though my over-protective brother and cousins might read this.

I've had crushes! Who doesn't?

So what exactly is a crush?
You might fall for his looks, his genius, good nature or you might simply start caring for him a lot.
Your heart plummets when you think of him. You make an extra effort to look good. You blush when he's around. You get nervous. You love to stare at him even though you know it's creepy. You love it when your eyes meet accidentally. You love it when he talks to you. You're thinking of him right now. And if you're foolishly smiling after reading this, then yes sweetheart, you're in lao.
But you got to be sure. Think about this whole thing again. Think about him and why you fell for him in the first place. What is it about this guy that you just can't stop thinking about him? When you've finally arrived at a valid conclusion and you're sure that you like this guy, then go ahead and tell him that you like him. There is completely no harm in telling your crush that you like them. If he reciprocates the feelings, you're the luckiest girl in the world. And if he doesn't, you'll still be lucky because you just saved yourself from a serious heartbreak.
Let me explain. For example, you get a huge crush on your classmate and you don't tell him anything. You just escape into a fantasy world where he likes you back and you mentally marry him. You're completely mesmerized and not willing to come out of your fantasy world. When reality hits you, it becomes very painful.
But if you get a crush on someone, you're sure that you really like him, you go tell him and he doesn't reciprocate the feelings, you'll not be hurt as much as you would be in the former case.
So grab all your guts and go tell your guy that you like him. If you think that he likes you back, don't wait for him to make the move. Some guys are shy and majority of them don't know what they want.

Exclusively for boys -  

Boys, if you're reading this and you like a girl, please go tell her. Who knows? She might be in love with you too! 
And if she rejects you, she'll still be flattered. I'll be flattered if someone told me that they liked me.
Be sure of your feelings in the first place. And don't act like jerks.
I don't understand why you guys are such jerks and so unpredictable.
We find it hard to understand you or whatever goes on in your mind.
Be clear, be specific and don't give us false hopes. We're delicate, we get hurt easily.
